Joss Performs at Live Earth
At 11:30pm EST,on July 7, 2007 Joss took the stage in Johannesburg, South Africa. She wore a floral halter dress, her hair was straightened , and she was barefoot of course.
She came out and the crowd that had been waiting used and she said asked why no one was clapping or clicking , the crowd started applauding.
She opened with “Girl the won’t believe it” from Introducing Joss Stone and then she then sang “Headturner” and “Tell Me What We’re Gonna Do Now”.
Joss definitely enjoyed herself, dancing and interacting with the crowd.
She then continued on with “Music”, which she calls her love letter to music.
The next song she dedicated to the lads. She told them it if she could tell them anything it would be to say something, anything. She then broke into ” Tell Me About It”.
She closed with “Right to be Wrong” from Mind, Body and Soul . This is a much slower song then the others, so it slowed down the mood, Joss sang it beautifully. Towards the end the crowd started clapping and embarrassed her. She did a few improvisions and runs at the end of the song.
I was really impressed by her performance, she did a bunch of the songs off her new album, not just the one usual one or two. It was the first time seeing her perform “Tell Me About It” and “Headturner”. I feel as thought the inclusion of “Right to be Wrong” might have been a jab at the press, who haven’t been to kind to Joss lately.
Here is video I found.
