The campaign was started by hearing device manufacturer Phonak and includes many other artists including Bryan Adams, Amy Winehouse, and Common.

Joss Stone attended the MTV Europe Awards last night in Munich, Germany. Joss presented at the award ceremony. I am not sure what she was thinking in this outfit and I really don’t like her hair.
Her outfit was way too revealing and the skirt was both hideous and short. What was worse was her hair. She had it up, which she has been doing lately, but this time she corn-rowed it. It looks awful in my opinion.
The british media is already taken to criticizing her for this new hair.
Joss performed the night before in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and looked like her normal self so I don’t know if she was just trying to do something outrageous for the awards show or what.

Joss made a charity appearance this week, appearing last night at the 2007 Angels Ball held at the The New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square to sponsor the The G&P Foundation for Cancer Research

We remain committed to funding research until a cure is found.
Joss wore a bright fushcia dress and had her hair pulled back. Once again as you can see she performed barefoot. She performed Tell Me ‘Bout It” and “Bruised but not Broken”

Also at the event were Randy Jackson from American Idol ,Star Jones formerly of the view, John Legend, Kelly Ripa, Kelly Rowland and many other stars.
At the frosted pink benefit, Joss performed L-O-V-E with Natalie Cole.
Joss appeared yesterday at the Swarovski Fashion Rocks at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The benefit raised money for the Prince’s Trust, which aims to help young people who are labeled “hoodies” for not having jobs, education or training. The show paired fashion designers with celebrities. Joss was paired with Calvin Klein.
Joss looked very elegant on the red carpet with her hair up in a bun and very simple make up and jewelry. She wore a pink dress that is much more form fitting then her usual choice of dresses. She wore strappy sandles, that I am sure she took off once she had the chance.
Joss also performed at the show and once I am able to find a video of this, I will post.

Joss has made a decision to represent herself after a string of bad luck with managers.
Last week Joss came out and said “”I’m never having a manager ever again. I’ve had four in the past five years and I hate them all.”
Since then there has been backlash from some of the former managers and as well as the press. Multiple articles have called her a brat and “Mariah Carey wannabee”
In an article in the dailymail former manager Ron Stone states
“If she’s not careful she could derail her career. Joss wants to manage herself but you have to consider her lack of understanding of the challenges in front of her. There’s no way she can make the sophisticated choices demanded because her life experience is so very limited.”
Later on in the article Ron Stone(no relation to Joss) calls Joss a Mariah wannabe. ”
The article continues on with more conversations from different managers.
I really hope Joss is able to overcome all of this bad publicity. She is not the first person to go through multiple managers. Hopefully she will figure things out and get back on track. I think a lot of criticism comes from the fact that she is so young and making these decisions on her own.
Joss is among the celebrities who turned out for the Frosted Pink charity fundraiser for breast cancer in LA earlier this week.
The event will area on TV this Sunday on ABC from 4-6pm. The event presented by Sanofi-aventis and Wachovia Featuring a dynamic mix of music, figure skating, and Hollywood stars empowering women, raising awareness, and inspiring action about women’s cancers.
According to a story on this is north scotland.co.uk, Joss has trouble saying no to charity events.
The Devon songstress isn’t akin to declining good deeds. She has performed at the Band Aid 20, Live 8 and Live Earth concerts, as well as The Dream Concert which was a tribute to Martin Luther King.
People ask me and I say ‘yes!’ Simple as that,” the 20-year-old told OK!
“When people ask me to help anything that I believe needs helping, then you don’t need to explain why. If I can, and I have time in my day, I’ll do it.”
She added: “Why not? There’s nothing that would stop me from helping people.”

Joss Stone performing at Atlantis in Paradise Island September 28, 2007 in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Last night, I had the opportunity to attend the Joss Stone concert at the Fillmore in Detroit. This was my first time at the Fillmore, formerly the State Theater. The concert was mostly standing room only, with some balcony and mezzanine seats. The crowd was a wide mixture of ages, and races, what I would find typical for a Joss concert.
Javier was the first act and I was surprised when he just walked out on stage with no introduction at all and just started playing. His voice is very song and his songs seems to tame the restless crowd. One of his songs, “Ok Here’s the Truth”, an almost country sounding ballad is definitely worth listening to and is available on his myspace site.
After Javier finished, there was a set change and then Ryan Shaw came out. Ryan’s energy was much stronger then Javier’s as he got the crowd up and excited. His uptempo love songs had the crowd hyped. His song “Do The 45”, had the crowd dancing right along with him. He also did an acoustic version of the Beatle’s “Let it Be”, that was amazing.
Finally it was time for Joss, the theater had finally started to fill up.
Joss was introduced by Michael Baisden of Mix 92.3, a local radio station. He called her a soul sensation. He said he also likes to call her “White Chocolate”.
Joss’s background singers and band came out first and played a bit as we waited for Joss. The stage backdrop was a light purple and the stage lights were also softened to a lavender tone. Joss finally came out in a short purple dress, her hair full of curls in what now is almost becoming her trademark red shade.
She opened with “Girl they won’t believe it”, her energy got the crowd up and excited. She was her giggly self, easily distracted between songs by the crowds whistles and shouts of “I love you Joss” . She mentioned she was nervous being in Detroit for the first time since it is the home of Motown. Her voice was strong and the venue was great for Joss as it was small and intimate. She then played “Tell Me What we gonna do now”.
She continued on playing “Music”, which she said is one of the few things you can love unconditionally and 20 years from now you can still like the same song.
She spent most of the night dancing from one corner of the stage to the other, making sure the crowd didn’t feel left out.
She got the crowded involved with the song “Diggin on You”. Having them do the “Yeahs”
She then told the story about how Bruised but not broken was written for her when she was going through a rough time, and then sang the song with all of her heart.
She asked girls to grab their guys and guys their girls as she sang the song “ Put your Hands on Me.
She then took a request from a young girl in the front of the crowd and played her hit, “Baby, Baby, Baby” .
This was the last concert for Joss in the United States this fall, but you should definitely check her out in your town if you have the chance.

Joss recently appeared on I-village’s In the loop, a live interactive daytime program on I-village. The show is hosted by Comedian Kim Coles,“Apprentice” winner and entrepreneur Bill Rancic and television personality Ereka Vetrini.
Joss sat down for an interview. Joss wore a striped tank over a green tank, chocolate-brown khakis, and flip flops. Cute peace sign necklace. Her hair was still read, but straight not wavey.
Topics of conversation were Joss’s album title, which Joss stated was more about this being her first time being in charge of her album and having a say, then about introducing herself.
Joss also discussed being asked to do the Princess Diana Tribute and the great responsiblity to represent something Diana would appreciate.
She was asked about the musical tastes in her family and she mentioned that everyone in her family liked something different, but that they were all encouraged to find what they liked.
Joss was asked about how kids should go about living their dreams.
She sees music as just another job, with a lot more hair and make up. Says you just have to keep trying to live your dreams.
The show takes internet questions. Joss was asked why she is always barefoot. “I don’t want to fall over”
She also asked how she came up with the name Joss, which she says is just the shortening of her name Jocelyn.
She told a cute story about how she first was on tv as a way to get back her family horse that was sold. She said she didn’t like school, but needed to make money so she went on tv and thats how she got started. She said she didn’t end up getting the horse back even after she made a ton of money because the woman didn’t want to sell.
Bill asked her opinion on the Britney Spears
“Do you really want to know. I think people should shut up and leave her alone. She is a young woman and she should be going out… ” She went on to mention that sometimes you can’t wear knickers as they show your panty line.
You can also check out the exclusive internet only interview done after the other interview.
Warning this internet only interview is harder to hear and the camera work is less then perfect.
Joss talked to OK magazine about her performance at the MLK Dream Concert. She said that people questioned her appearance at the concert because she isn’t American.
I love her response
“Everybody keeps asking me ‘why are you here?’ because I’m English,” friendly Joss says. “I’m like, ‘I don’t get that question.’ He changed the world; he didn’t just change America. He changed the whole world! If he didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. I wouldn’t have the friends I do. There are so many things. Basically, he gave up his life — his whole life — just to make people happy, and to spread peace and help people understand that there is only one level. The one above that is God. There was nobody like that before him, and there was nobody like that after him. We need to keep remembering him. We need to keep talking about it. There are young people out there, and they need to know his name.”
